However, based on feedbacks received\nfrom local and international colleagues in the last years, it became\nobvious that there is still a need for an organized form of information\nexchange presenting recent results and discussing current questions\nemerging in invertebrate neurobiology. Therefore, in August 2019, our\ninstitute organized the 1st Symposium on Invertebrate Neuroscience\n(SIN) and this year, we decided to organize the 2nd SIN in Tihany,\nHungary between the 2nd-5th September, 2025.\nThe 2nd SIN will focus on the most recent findings obtained in any field\nof invertebrate neuroscience, including adaptive mechanisms,\ncircuits and behaviours, learning and memory, cognitive aging,\nevolution and development, neuromorphology, visual and\nchemical sensation, (neuro)genetics. In addition, to the wide range\nof scientific insights, special emphasis will also be placed on cutting-\nedge technologies in invertebrate neuroscience. The symposium also\naims at highlighting the potential of research on invertebrate model\nanimals to address a large range of neurobiological questions,\nproblems, and phenomena in general.\nTwo memorial lectures will be dedicated to Professor Paul R. Benjamin\n(1942-2024) and Professor Dimitry A.
