Research dataset from the Copper Age cemetery at Balatonszentgyörgy-Faluvégi dűlő 2.https://hdl.handle.net/21.15109/ARP/REIL2WBondár MáriaSomogyi KrisztinaARP2026-01-292026-02-26T15:36:34ZThe dataset complements the publication „A Late Copper Age Biritual Cemetery on the Outskirts of Balatonszentgyörgy” and contains the research data of a major Baden-period burial ground. The site was excavated in 2017 by István Molnár and Krisztina Somogyi (Rippl-Rónai Museum). The site revealed 76 Late Copper Age burials belonging to the Baden complex. In addition to these, the site also revealed objects from the Early Bronze Age, Roman Age settlement, and early to late medieval settlement. The assessment and publication were carried out within the research project „ Complex analysis of the Late Copper Age burials of the Carpathian Basin” (NKFI K-128413, Project Leader: Mária Bondár) at the Institute of Archaeology, Research Centre for the Humanities, Eötvös Loránd Research Network (ELKH). The work on the volume began in early 2021, and the publication was supported by grant MEC_K 140620 awarded by the Mecenatúra 2021 Fund. The dataset includes primary research data related to the excavation and the publication documentation. It contains detailed stratigraphic descriptions, field documentation, natural scientific analyses, field drawings, object drawings, photographs and artefacts. In addition, the dataset includes the complete text and figure materials of the published volume, thus ensuring digital acess both the primary and the interpretative layers of the research.
