Entity Navigation

Contextual entities include the following (see also RO-Crate Quickstart):

  • Entities that exist beyond the digital world (e.g., people, places).
  • Descriptions primarily existing as metadata (e.g., geocoordinates).

AROMA provides the following interfaces for finding and managing these entities.

Entities Panel​

The Entities Panel is a typed object list. The contextual entities are listed under their respective types.

Search Panel​

THe Search Panel allows searching for objects by Name/ID, and the Type column in the search results indicates the type of entities listed. The ID represents the identifier of entities, which is found in the @id field of entities opened for editing in the Metadata Editor panel (and is typically modifiable).

Metadata Editor Panel​

If a contextual entity has been provided as a value for a specific metadata field, clicking on it will display the contextual entity itself in an editable form.
